Question:
Is there ANYONE OUT THERE who knows where I can find chewable protein tablets?

When I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia at 13, my mother bought big jugs of these maple-nutty flavored chewable protein tablets. She can't remember what they were called, and I have looked everywhere! Anyone know about these? They are SO much better and less time-consuming than shakes. Thanks! Suzi S    — sm S. (posted on February 15, 2003)

[email protected] this addy is a man who owns Health hut a place in walla walla washington that sells protien wafers. i got some they are pretty good too. (they have no web site yet) they do not have a lot of protein, only 6 calories i think the bottle lists a serving sise as 20 and 9 grams of protien, 0 fat, 0 sugar. he can send you the label information. you would have to eat too many of them to get enough protein, but its better than chips or high carbs for snack! as far as i know they do not make a pill for protein that is logical, have to comsume too many to make them practical

I forgot to mention the liquid protiens. you cna mix them into juice or crystal light and not even know they are in it! they have many fruit flavored ones that are not thick.

When I had my surgery, Nature Made (the yellow label, in grocery stores) made a protein wafer--tasted like alfalfa, kinda? 2 = 1g, as I recall. They were usually about ankle high on the display. Once I found a good protein powder, I had no need of a ton of wafers.

In order to get enough protien from tablets you would have to take a ton of them. Even if 1 tablet had 1 gram of pure protien, you would need at least 65 per day. Try different protien bars (I like atkins) and powders, I like Carb solution. try some different things and hopefully you will find one that you like.

I wish there was! I've heard of wafers before, but have no idea where to get them. I also used to take protein pills you swallow, called PROTIVITY OR BIOSHAPE, but like the previous poster said, you have to take alot to get alot of protein. Look up those names in the search, you'll find info on them if you're interested. I took BIOSHAPE for a few months, took 2 pills a day (I was told by distributor and some others that each pill was 4-6 grams of protein) And used that in my total grams count, and my labs were great, plus I had more energy. They were pretty expensive though. I also tried that protein crystals stuff, suppsed to taste like pixie sticks or something. BOY it sure doesn't and now I'm left with a whole box of it! oops. It was the worst thing I ever tasted, and the consistency was bad, too. But I know some people do like it. Goodluck, hope you find what you're looking for!
