Question:
Have symptoms of PCOS lessened after your surgery?

I have lots of PCOS symptoms like constant bleeding, no periods for 150 days, weight gain obviously! and others. I have read obesity adds to POSC I am wondering about others experiences after surgery. Thank you    — robyn R. (posted on May 2, 2002)

Hi, I am always looking for info on WLS & PCOS. I have been diagnosed w/PCOS w/insulin resistence for 14yrs. I recently had RNY (3/20/02). So far I am to new to surgery to see any results. My wife had severe PCOS but now 1 yr post-op, has no symptoms whatsoever. I did an extensive post on this for a question from yesterday, (5-1-02) so if you are interested please refer to that question.

I have PCOS and 8 weeks out..I have NO symptoms..I have actually had 2 periods..more then I have had in a whole YEAR before!

All my symptoms of PCOS disappeared and 22 months after surgery I actually delivered a healthy baby girl who will be two this august.
