My surgeon is currently trying to get my hernia and tummy tuck approved by my insuran

ce company. First they needed pictures which I supplied now they need some type of documentation regarding rashes. 18 months ago my PCP prescribed some ointment for a rash on my arm. I asked her for a letter stating she had prescribed medication for rashes she is hesitating because she thinks the insurance company might want her records. Just because she did not prescribe it for my skin folds I have used it for my skin folds right now I am using the cream for a rash under my breast. I guess my question is if my hernia is the size of a grapefruit is that not enough for insurance approval and the fact the skin folds hangs past my pubic area. Any input would be helpful I don't want to have 2 surgeries I want the hernia repaired it is causing me alot of problems and I want the tummy tuck at the same time. Please give me suggestions.
