Hepatitis C, will any surgeon still do WLS, which type is best?

I was told I'm not a canidate for WLS, by the surgeons(no reason given) after being approved by insurance. I suspect it was my HCV status. Will WLS agravate/accelerate HCV? Anyone know a surgeon that will give me a chance to live?
