I hear you on that Old Navy experience!
Kids, and especially teens can be so COLD! At least my 14 year old daughter has an appreciation for weight control, after seeing what I've been through. I lecture her so much about eating right, etc., that I know she's sick of it; but she also knows about obesity hereditaryness, etc. She actually did her school project on my Gastric Bypass. It was kind of hard for me to annouce to all these teenagers what my weight was, and that it had come to that, but they also gained new respect for what I/we've gone through.
Anyway,
at least you didn't say anything; My loud mouth would have said something like, "Be careful who you laugh at, it could be YOU some day!" It wouldn't matter though, either kids have a heart, or they don't, and those didn't!
