Vitamins = nausea

I dont know why this is happening. Feeling pretty yucky right now.

It doesnt happen all the time but atleast 2 to 3 times a week, I will just feel awful after my morning batch. I have tried to take them with applesauce, yogurt, protein shake, it does not seem to matter, cant find rhyme or reason. I tried the chewable mvi and the tablet, doesnt make a difference.

Any one else experience this?

Yes!  I went and had a upper GI, and a couple of other tests.  My Dr suggested I STOP taking my vitamins and add them back in 1 at a time.  Well... I found it was my multi chewable - I was taking Centrum Silver.  Once I stopped taking that, but still took my other vitamins, I felt much better.

I had that nausea, icky feeling - and often it wasn't when I immediately took it, but later.

I was taking my PPI at the time too.  Since I don't take the Centrum anymore I haven't had to take my PPI either.  I switched to Bariatric Advantage chewables and no problems.  I figure there's a filler in it that just wasn't agreeing with me.

Maybe switch your multi - or just cut it out for a week or so to see if it is it.  Of all our vits, that's the one we can do without for a short period of time.

I was getting nauseated with mine so I started taking them before bed and I haven't had a problem since. Some of us just have a tender pouch.

Thanks guys.

It may be that I have been using centrum chewables, Maybe I should switch. I also switched brands on my b complex, Will try to change one at a time and see if that helps.

I wish I could take mine just at night, but with the prescription iron, I have to space things out throughout the day. About every 2 to 3 hours.

Morning 0500 synthroid, probiotic

0700 multi, calcium, b complex, b12, vit d, omega 3, magnesium

0900 calcium and mag, miralax

1200 iron and vit c

1600 calcium mag and d, multi

2100 iron and vt c

Maybe I should break up the am batch, but then I am afraid I wont get it all in.

Thanks again!

I also take the BA calcium chews, and they can cause stomach upset too.  Not sure which you are using, but if you're taking them with the multi, it could be a culprit too.

I take my multi, B complex, B12, D, K, and even iron together in the morning

Then I space the calcium out throughout the day (chews - like candy!)

Ive been doing my C and Iron in the middle of the night like someone had suggested.  Otherwise, I could never find a time to get it in.  I just set it out and when I get up to pee, I take it then.

Loved the chews, but I have been using the walgreens version of citrical, I can usually get a good deal when they are on sale.

Maybe I should get of the more chews, I love all the flavors.

Thanks again!

I tried the Centrum silver and had to switch back to the BA advantage multi vitamin.

Hope you can find out what is causing the problem.

Thanks Linda,

Maybe I need to try the bariatric advantage, you and Jody seem to do well with them.
