Please add me to your pending list. I was originally scheduled for my DS on June 21, then June 28, but surgery was put on hold due to my anemia. Got as far as pre op work up at the hospital and they found a glitch in my blood work. Then scheduled a colonoscopy and EGD and another glitch with the colonoscopy...since then I've had full upper GI xrays and capsule endoscopy and numerous blood workups...stomach doctor has finally sent notice to surgeon approving me for surgery, so I've had yet another blood test to see where I am with the anemia and then we're supposed to schedule the surgery. Hoping to hear from surgeons office tomorrow.

I read the forums daily and am still compiling lots of good information.

I will certainly add you, Martha. Are they going to do infusions to help you fix your anemia pre-op?

I really don't know. I have not talked to anyone in the gastroendologist's office or the surgeon's office for the past 2 weeks. With waiting or the approval to get to the surgeon, people with conflicting schedules and vacations, it has been very quiet with not much information being exchanged. What puzzles me is they are not treating the anemia. I was told to eat lots of red meat and get the blood test in two weeks (which is what I did on Friday.) I seem to have regained the stamina needed to keep pushing the DS thru so I am planning on calling the surgeons coordinator Monday with questions. The first on the list is about iron infusions. Thanks for the reminder.
