Please share your protein coffee or tea recipes. I get a request for the recipe at least once a month on various boards. Here's mine:

1 - 20 oz shaker cup with wire ball
4 to 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2, water, Lactaid milk, or any combo of low carb fluid
1 to 1 1/2 scoops of Syntrax Nectar vanilla protein powder (Nectar cappuccino or chocolate, JayRobb vanilla whey protein isolate is also a good choice. Look for a protein powder where whey protein isolate is the first ingredient)
small splash of DaVinci cinnamon sugar free syrup
{shake} until blended
Pour into large/huge mug
Add 9 to 10 oz of hot brewed coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine)
{stir}

Add hot liquid to cold liquid to avoid lumps. Keep the protein slurry below 160 degrees.

Here is what I do, a little different.

2/3-3/4c warm water
1.5 scoop of protein powder
mix with a spoon in a small cup
add to 2 mugs of decaf coffee like creamer, actually I have a 5 cup coffee maker and this is what I use for the whole pot, divided into 2 servings. It's also a great time to add your benefiber or miralax if you take that daily so you don't forget it. You will never know it is there.

For protein I use Syntrax Matrix Chocolate, Mint Cookie or Vanilla. I also like Syntrax Nectars but the Matrix comes in larger sizes so I don't have to order as often. If I use Chocolate I may also add some SF Irish cream or carmel syurp. If I use vanilla, I may add some SF cinnamon vanilla syurp.

I have a Keurig.  I mix 1/2 scoop of unflavored Unjury protein powder with 4 oz of milk and mix with the 1/2 c setting of Sumatran coffee.  Yummy!  28 g of protein in two cups of coffee.

Protein Coffee - I fix a large decaf in my Keurig coffee maker, add 1 tsp splenda to it.  In a measuring cup I put about 1/4 cup of Hood Calorie Count Down Milk and mix in 1 scoop Syntrax Nectar Cappuccino Protein Powder until throughly mixed - I have a small whisk that I use for this to get all the lumps out of it.  The I pour the milk/protein mixture into my hot coffee - sometimes I add some fat free whip cream to it.

Lemon Tea Protein Drink - 1 bottle of water, 1 stick of crystal lite lemon tea - mix together until crystal lite dissolves.  Pour this into a 20 ounce blender bottle add 1 scoop of Syntrax Nectar Lemon Tea  and shake until protein is dissolved - let it sit a few minutes until some of the foam dissolves - add crushed ice.

Chocolate Truffle Protein Drink - In magic bullet glass add about 1/2 cup of Hood Calorie Count Down Milk, 1 scoop of Chocolate Truffle Protein Drink, 1 -2 tbsp of Sugar Free German Chocolate Syrup(Davinnci), stir this up, add crushed ice and blend until the ice is crushed fine, add some sugar free whip cream and it is like a milkshake!!

These are the 3 main protein drinks that I use.

Oh Linda --- Your Chocolate Truffle drink is on my "must try" list! Sounds great. And resembles a Frap from Sbux!

I used to use my mini blender (Hamilton Beach) all the time for my Nectars in the morning.... I found on vacation I can use my shaker cup (without the ball) with ice and get it mixed just fine so I'm lazy now and don't mess with the blender. For a "milkshakey" drink I will pull it out again.

Love these recipes!

Meg, it is absolutely wonderful.  It is like a treat and you would never know it was a protein drink.

I had put up my Magic Bullet but have pulled it back out on the counter since I've been fixing this at night.  I was making the protein ice cream, but this is so much easier.

I got a Fit & Fresh Portable Drink Mixer free with some protein I bought not to long ago and have been using it some instead of the ball in the shaker bottle and it makes a lot less foam if you hold it down in the water part of the drink so I don't have to wait on the foam to dissolve some before putting ice into it.

Other people have mentioned the foam too and I never notice it or else it just doesn't bother me.

The foam doesn't really bother me, it just makes it where I can't put as much ice in my blender bottle.  I like a lot of ice.  Sometimes I will actually drink some of the foam off.

I'm surprised it's not more than once a month Gina. People are always writing and asking me how to make coffee and I refer them to your profile.

I would LOVE some tea recipes and even though it's not hot chocolate weather I'd be interested in those too!
