I tried to add your surgery support page link and it says it isn't found. You may want to try to reactivate it through your profile.

Hello,
Due to a change in insur. I am still pending. I only lack my sleepstudy. I think I may have mentioned before that my husband has stage 4 cancer. We had private insur. until his dx on May 13 this year. I had planned on using 401K but unsure right now as to what to do. Also started out sure I wanted the band, then my Doc and I decided on RNY, but now after much research I am leaning toward DS. I have had back, shoulder, and knee surgery and I am concerned about not being able to use ansaids with the RNY. I would like to ask some questions about why some chose one surgery over another, but have found by reading the forums that I can find most people's reasons. I love this LW forum and hope everyone does not mind my lurking here. On days when things are really bad, with hubby and my own health, I come to this forum and get inspired all over again.
Thank you all for continuing to post so that newbies like me, that read, look at before and afters and dream about the day that we too will be taking part in life instead of standing on the sidelines stay encouraged.
Thank you,
Carla

((Carla)) I wish all the best for you as you go through this journey and deal with what has been dealt you and your DH. If you have any questions specific to the DS and how a lightweight can work it successfully, let me know.
