Spent a good portion of my 50 minute session with my therapist on the words "goal" and "normal" this afternoon. Like so many aspects of this WLS journey, it's not black and white...we just have to figure it out as we go along.

As I get closer to my goal (185 pounds which for me at 6ft is the top of the normal range), I realize that I'm just going to have to see if it "fits" right. I will say that lifting weights several times a week has really helped my shape over the past few months, but there is still a lot of work to do!

You look fantastic!!!

You've got a lot of great advice here. I struggle with the same thing. I started at 283 and I am now 200. My first goal was 185, which at 5'8" would still be overweight. The top of theBMI chart says 164 for me and I just don't think that's healthy for me and my lifestyle. We've all worked so hard and adjusting our goals can feel like a cop out or an excuse or something else screwy.

Whatwver you decide is good for you. You've come so far and look fabulous!

good luck!

Congrats, you look amazing! You are doing so well personally and physically! Another inspiration to me as I start my journey! I hope you don't mind this question, did insurance pay anything for plastics, and if not what is the cost range? Thanks
