3 months out, losing hair, but not weight

I know stalls will happen but I haven't lost a single pound since mid November and now my hair is falling out.  My hair was already see through thin on top so this is very depressing for me.
I'm really scared I might get bald on top since I already have about 50% hair loss.
I've been taking the Skin/Hair & Nails supplement but it doesn't even seem to be making my nails harder let alone help with the hair loss.  No doubt, I need to get a wig pretty soon.
I can handle my droopy skin but his sucks.
Any tips on wigs?

That really does suck... and Im going to be in the same boat as I have very thin hair also :( you could also try do-rags (hankerchiefs)  when at home... you can check on line in your area and see if there are any wig stores around you so you can physically check them out.... that is what I will be doing soon. But they do have wig stores online.... Good luck!

There is a wig store in a neighboring large town.
I will be checking it out soon.
Maybe not so bad...maybe I can get a wiglet (topper)
but the thought of having to wear a wig in the summer
is depressing since I sweat real easy.
I don't care so much when I'm at home.
When I don't have time to fuss with my hair (or if its windy or rainy) when going out running errands or whatever,
I usually wear a girly ball cap but I get sick of having that look so much of the time.
I'm really not vain...I can be seen without my make-up on and it doesn't bother me at all but a woman's hair is her crowning glory.
It's embarrassing when people keeping glancing at the top of my head.
Like I'm not aware of what they are looking at. Jerks!
I'm thin on the sides as well so that doesn't help either.

Has anybody tried Joan Rivers "Great Hair Day"?
Masking powder to hide bald scalp?

I lost a lot of my hair due to a medical condition and you can see my scalp on top of my head. I have to admitt that I have shed many tears over losing my hair but I have adjusted. I wear a wig and in the summer if I am too hot in it, I just ditch it! I clip up the hair I do have and keep it moving. It did take time to build up my confidence but now I just don't care what people think! Hopefully your hair loss is temporary...I have read posts where others have said that theirs grew back!

I've been lucky enough to not lose any hair.

A friend of mine LOVES Joan Rivers' great hair day.  They sell it on QVC and, if you don't like it, you can return it for a refund even if you use it for 30 days.  The same friend also likes Toppik.

My PCP told me that hair loss is from not getting enough protein.  I would make sure your consuming the proper amounts.  His recommendation to me was at least 80 grams per day minimum.

Here's a link to a post that was on the main board a couple days ago about hair loss, called telogen effluvium.  www.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/4478419/hair-loss/
Someone posted a link to a site that explains it, it's very common after the surgery.  For most people it grows back.
