Popcorn
I eat it and many can with no problems. I do however bring a sandwich size baggy and take only that much from my hubbies popcorn and only eat that much. I did wait until after 2 months out to try it. It is mostly air so the baggy size throughout the movie quite comfortable in my sleeve.

I don't know that you can never eat popcorn again, but I have to ask WHY would you want to? Especially movie theater popcorn. It's all carbs and fat. That's how we got fat to begin with, why continue the destructive behavior? Time to change our ideas about eating. Including "treats". If you can't go to the movies without wanting popcorn, maybe you should skip the movies. It's all about getting healthy now. Sticking to the program is what works.
Because it tastes good.
Plus popcorn is actually a fairly healthy snack. It's got a lot of fiber and even a large amount doesn't have that many calories. Sure, if you pour melted butter over it, it has a lot of fat, but you don't have to get that kind and butter is a healthy fat.
During the weight loss phase it was hard to fit in in and stay under my carb goal so I rarely had it and kept my portions to pretty small amounts but now that I am at goal I have it about once a month and it fits into my overall diet just fine.
To the OP, with a sleeve there is pretty much nothing you CAN'T eat again. But there are a lot of things you think are important to eat now that won't seem so important post-op. Some things you'll find you can eat in moderation and be okay. Other foods will trigger you and you'll want to avoid them. Others you will find you don't actually like as much as you thought you did. And there may be a few foods that give you trouble -- I can't drink milk any more, for example.
OTOH no matter what the food is, you will have plenty of people telling you that you can't eat it or that you shouldn't eat it OR YOU WILL FAIL. It's a bunch of bs. Everyone has to figure out what will work for them. If you work your sleeve hard in the first 6-12 months and learn how to eat again and work on your relationship with food then one particular food isn't going to bring the whole thing crashing down on you.

I structure movie popcorn including delicous melted leisure suit on top for once year on our anniversary.
Eating popcorn with butter every once in a while is not what got me fat. Eating popcorn daily, multiple times a day was *one* factor of many.
OP - for me, popcorn is a slider food and I can eat amazing amounts. Its also something that calls for more friends after I start, so I need to structure myself so that I know that I do not have it *every* time I go, but on our anniversary, I do have a nasty ol buttery popcorn and love every minute of it.
Some folks might think its the worst thing ever? Me? I think living off of frankenfoods every day does much more damage to a body than having pure-dee crap every once in a while, after you have had all your protein in for the day.
Just a word, sticking to program until you get to where you want to be helps a person not get lost in a high roads, if they have an attention span issue (like me! )
