One Year Surgiversary.....LOTS of Pics!!

Exactly one year ago I was lying in a bed in a surgery center in Tijuana, Mexico recovering from my VSG surgery and WOW, what a year this has been!!  I am still amazed every single day that I am able to eat such a small amount of food and still enjoy it and be satisfied.  I am still amazed that I was able to lose 85 pounds by 8 months out and maintain that loss effortlessly.  I am still amazed my how awesome and healthy I feel every day.  This surgery was truly a gift from God and I am so very thankful that I was able to have it.  I will be having professional photos taken in a few weeks and I will post those afterwards but for today I thought I would post a little photo progression from the past year.  I always say that "pictures speak louder than words" so here you go!!

First off, a few "Before" photos.

Day of surgery...248 pounds in size 18W jeans and XXL misses top.


Day of surgery...248 pounds in XXL misses top and XXL misses shorts.


Christmas 2007...230ish pounds in XL misses top and 16 misses pants.


September 2009....225ish pounds in size 16 misses dress.



Now for some "During" and "After" photos.  I am still amazed that I have "After" photos!!

16 weeks out....194 pounds (54 pounds lost) in size 13 juniors jeans and size L juniors top.



In June I went to my high school reunion feeling fabulous at 194 pounds and reconnected with some of my girls....it was the best reunion ever!


Another one from the reunion....in a size 14 misses dress.



Hubs and I spent our 20th anniversary in Belize...179 pounds (down 69 at 5 months out) in a size L juniors dress.



Spent a week at the lake feeling fabulous and energetic in August...179 pounds.


In September I spent a fun, fun girls weekend in San Antonio with some high school friends....175 pounds in size 11 juniors shorts and size L juniors top.




Six months out and down 75 pounds in October...size M misses top and M juniors shorts.



In October I celebrated my 41st birthday feeling skinny and beautiful at 167 pounds!!



Goal Babee!!!  On November 15, 2010, on my 8 month surgiversary I reached my goal weight of 165 pounds....83 pounds lost!!  Size 30 (8-10 jeans) and M misses top.

And, the most recent pic I have is from a month ago at 163 pounds in size 9 juniors jeans, M juniors top and S misses sweater.
