Happy 2 year anniversary to me!

Hi Everyone

Yep. It's been two years since my surgery. And all is fantastic!

It has been a journey with few setbacks, lifestyle changes and a sexy new wardrobe!

I got to my goal weight at 10 months and have been toning up since then. I do have excess skin under my arms, on my stomach and inner thighs. And my breasts are much smaller and with stretch marks. And no, I dont like how it looks and yes, I do care regardless of the fact that I am thinner. So, when the economy gets better I will have plastic surgery on my tummy and breasts.

I sometimes go up and down 3-5 lbs and fight that regularly. But its not a major battle.  I don't eat sweets, pasta, rice, tortilla, beans, bread, you get the picture. I dont drink carbonated beverages. I almost never have alcohol except for a few sips of wine once and a while - like every few months or so. I exercise regularly but not as vigirously as I did when the weight was coming off.

Most of all I have the best time playing with my highly energetic six year old. I can now keep up with her and even tire her out! I never feel achey or old or tired from playing or from my long day as a working single mommy.

All in all, I wish I would have had the surgery sooner, but hey, at 42 I look and feel better than I did at 32.

Best to you all!

We need posts just like yours.  I'm sure the worry I have is common to others here.  I've lost weight before but have not maintained it.  We worry that this will happen again.  Your post tells us it is possible to lose and maintain it long term.  Thank you for the encouragement.

Fantastic!  You are an inspiration to me.  Keep letting us know how you are doing, because we who are still losing (or hoping to lose!) need to hear how it is down the road.      --Dorothy
