I am not two years out but next month I will be one year out but I too worry about some of the same issues.  I notice with SOME foods I can eat a little more than I could earlier on and it worries me also.  I don't drink soda neither unless its like Vernor's with all the bubbles stirred out but that is even on occasion.  I think for me it will still be a "choice" thing making the right choices I also try not to do too many carbs and stick with as many fruits and veggies as I can.  But it is nice to hear that at two years out your still doing very well I will post next month at my one year and give totals of weight loss.  Good Luck and sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hello

I am 2 1/2 years out and it gets kinda scary.  I can definitely eat more and that scares the heck out of me.  I know I have gained a few pounds because things are starting to feel a little more snug. It makes me sick to think about it.  I am trying to get back on track because
I still have those last 30lbs to get off and want to do it.

In 3 weeks I'll be 2 yrs out (5/8/07).

I've been able to maintain my current weight for about a year now.  I was 123 by last Feb. or March, then I dipped down to 117 last July, then stabilized back at 122.  I once got up to 125, but brought that back down right away.

I definitely can eat more than I could a year ago.  I still eat protein first and have lots of fruits and veggies.  I eat carbs, but I try to stick with whole grains.  I do still like my sweets though!  I've learned to eat them only at the end of meals-- that way I don't have much room for them.  And I don't do sodas or milkshakes at all.

I don't do any protein supplements at this point.  In fact, I've tried to bring my grams-per-day of protein down a little.  I try and keep it between 50 - 60g. now that I'm maintaining and not losing.  I found that my protein numbers were a LOT higher than I estimated, so I've tried adding more whole foods like fruits and veggies.  I do still watch the carbs and try to keep that sort-of low.

So long as you are active and maintaining your weight I would not worry about the amount you are eating.  Just continue to make those healthy choices and you'll be fine!

Hi

I'm going to be 2 years out in less than a month. I've maintainted my weight at goal for about a year. However, I certainly can eat more and yes, it does scare me. I worry frequently about my weight going back up. I do fluxuate 3 to 5 pounds. I have a lot of excess skin in my stomach area which is very ugly and saggy. It wont go away unless I get it cut off surgically. When I creep up the 5 lbs the wrinkles look less bad, but that's also scaring me. The more wrinkly the less I weigh but worse I look!

I still struggle with protein requirements. I used to have a 40g protein shake daily but I just can't do it any more. I've totally lost a taste for them. I exercise 5 days a week but not strenuous. Just maintenance exercise.

I have more energy than before and look better than ever in general.

Am I still concerned about my weight? Absolutely. Sometimes I even tell myself I'm on a diet this week. I wish I could say once I lost it I wouldn't have to worry any more but I can't say that.

I don't drink alcohol at all, no carbonated beverages, limited carbs. I like meats and cheeses and fruits and veggies and lots of water.

Could I be doing better? Yep. I need to remember daily, sometimes twice a day, why I took this journey and why I need to stay on top of it. I'm happy though and so is my daughter who is now 6 who I can outlast, outrun and generally out play until she is just too tired!!  We just adopted a black labrador and now we walk him every day. I try to remind myself when I'm freeting over three or five pounds that  I lost nearly 100 lbs and am proud of that. And I never want to find those 100 lbs again. And, pounds are sneaky.... I will stop them !!!!!!!!!!!
