Hi Everyone! I thought i'd give you a food update at 2 years out. I'm still only able to eat very little. I used to NOT be able to tolerate bread very well but my body has since adjusted back. I just toasted one piece of 100% whole wheat bread, cut it in half and put on some tuna. So a half a sandwich. I'm happy to report at two years out.......i'm full!!!

Have a super good weekend!!

aloha,

michelle

Hi there Michelle!  Good to "see" you and hear how things are going at 2 years out.   Half a sandwich is still about right for me too - our "Cirangle sleeves" seem to be holding up over time, don't they?  Have a good weekend!

Michelle - I'm scheduled for this surgery the 28th April.  I wanted to know how many days before you felt like yourself after surgery?  I take care of my 88 year old mother and needed to know how long I'll be under the weather.

Hi Susan!  My surgery was 4/28/08!  Good luck on yours!

Each day for the 1st 5 days I felt incredibly better than the day before.  After a week I was starting to feel like myself again.  The soreness from the incisions lasted awhile.  The incision where my stomach was removed was sore for a few weeks.  Clutching a pillow when rolling over in bed helped.

In the beginning it's all about resting & establishing new habits - sipping water often, walking around slowly but frequently, working on getting your protein in, etc.

Everyone is different, so this is just based on my experience!
