On behalf of Meat King (Grim) and MC (Meat Coordinator) Daisy we wanted to express our thoughts on AMAW 2016.  First off thank you to everyone who posted menus & pictures and supported your fellow AMAW challengers, you all are awesome!

What started out as a simple joke between Grim & I, transformed and blossomed into a full-fledged idea that took off with open arms, knives & forks and your butcher on speed dial.  We didn't imagine that everyone would jump into this so eagerly and with fierce enthusiasm.  But it did and that was as the Bostonians say, 'wicked awesome'! 

This was intended as a bunch of OH'ers having fun with our menu's and to share ideas, pictures (some of burnt offerings) and again, just to have fun! 

Grim & I felt we did need to "crown" a winner(s), and we have been discussing this at length, and we feel that you are all winners for staying true to this, having fun and participating!!! SO Thank you AMAW and AMAW-C!!!

Kakesie - Karen did Critters, even though she's only 6 weeks post op!

Emiepie - Kelly did Critters. lost weight and had fantastic photographs!

JuniperBerry - Critters. Lost a pound, loved that she can "kick start" the loss again if needed

Kathy S. - Critters.  Didn't lose but did note she was full and not hungry! And needs a "Grilling" lessons

MonaLisaSmile - Found her regular diet was already pretty much Critters, but a little sad she didn't lose anything.

Life_mirrors_art - Critters. Impressed by how full she felt all week. She will continue critters for April.

Kat W. - Did Full Meat! And lost 2 pounds!!

NYMom222 - Critters. Down 6 pounds! Thinks Meat Week is a great reset to get Back on Track.

Supershopper - Critters. Didn't lose, but felt she was eating less because she felt more full.

Gary V. - Critters, lost 4 pounds after a 3 week stall

Jo_Jo - Critters. Down 4 pounds, a little under 2 months post surgery!!!

Momma2nicknmike - Lynne did Critters, and lost 3 pounds and learned she had been slacking from Protein First.

Mute - Melinda did Critters and learned she needed to change up her former eating habits.

Pokemom - Critters. Lost weight, and learned she was drifting into too many carbs.

Tpaq1972 - Critters. Lost 1.6 pounds.

Bonroxie19 - Critters. Lost 2.4 pounds, and rediscovered some foods

Deanna798 - Critters. Didn't lose, had to drop out but did enjoy the challenge

Bruindiva92 - All Meat, lost weight, made some awesome meat meals!

THIS is going on my cubby wall at work of all my other favorites!  You all probably don't know but I LOVE SHARKS, especially Great Whites, I think they are amazing.  So this is so totally 100% brilliant. I'm here all week, try the veal...

I am SOOOOOOOOO honored!! I would like to thank all the animals that gave their life to the making of my meat week as well as Daisy and Grim for putting forth the challenge. 

Also, I would like to thank the Academy....well just because you do. 

I have worn my shirt every day since then and ALWAYS get stopped to ask what meat week is. Soon, I will get stopped to be asked to changed because it smells....but until then!!!
