Drinking Water Too Fast?? (TMI)

Today I was running out of time before I had to go to work.  So I guzzled 3/4 of a bottle of water (like I would before surgery). Well, within 3 minutes my tummy started protesting, and up the stairs I went where It all came right back up (not through my mouth)   (and not through urine either) Has anyone else had this happen? I didnt even think about it before I just drank it.  I wont do that again, wow.  Wasnt sure I would make it to work.  

I have never been able to guzzle water even before wls.  Sorry that happen to you, I guess it's back to sip, sip sip. LOL

I've never heard of this but I'm sorry it happened to you.  The only thing that happens to me if I guzzle too fast is an upset tummy. 

ive guzzled since surgery and i get an upset belly but once i had it happen where i drank it to fast and when it came back up it was still cold! i love guzzling a cold glass of water too so it sucks that i really cant anymore!

Water went through your entire digestive system in 3 minutes?  Really?  Or might it have been something you ate earlier in the day or last night?  It would have had to travel through the pouch, through 20-25 feet of the small intestine and another 5-7 feet of the large intestine .... and without any stopping for food or waste along the way.  In 3 minutes?  Personally it sounds like it was something else already in motion that caused it, not the guzzled water.    Who knows though.  The body is a mysterious thing. lol true true I guess on the 3 minutes thing.  It might haev been already in motion, but wow, that was quick.  I will def know better than to drink that fast again.  I have my bottle here again and Im gonna try it again, but slower today.  I didnt have any problems last night drinking, so it may have been just a fluke.  Thanks for all your replies everyone

This same thing happened to me last weekend and I was just happy to poop   I drank a lot of water in a three hour time span because I was at the beach and sweating my booty off. I ate four glasses of ice and water. Next thing you know, nature called. I wi**** was always this easy.
