Jan '12 Mommies? And pregnancy diet question
Hi all,
I rarely post on here but had to share my miraculous story. DH and I have been TTC for 8 yrs. Had GB Feb of '10 and after seeing a Fertility Specialist this past April we got pregnant after our first IUI! We were over the moon for 10 days until 2 weeks ago when I went to the ER with bad cramping, nausea etc.. they did an US and we were told the preg. sac was abnormal and given the fact that right as we were leaving the ER I started bleeding ,a MC was pretty much inevitable. 4 days later had another US w/ my RE who saw a lot of blood in my uterus and told me the sac was breaking down and I would MC soon. They then saw me a week later (this past Wed) to see if my HCG levels were dropping as they expected them to. Well they went from 2,000 the day I went to the ER to 28,000! They still told me not to get my hopes up that it could be the placenta still making hormones but not getting the msg that things we ending. Had another US yesterday and they found a baby and a heart beat! I layed on the table w/ my hand over my mouth in disbelief. The only issue is that the lil' bean is measuring 6 weeks when I'm actually 7. Since I had an IUI we know the exact date I conceived. They said this does happen but with the amount of blood they saw before in my uterus they thought there was no way there could be anything there. So our baby is already a fighter!
We go back in another week for another US and if the baby's a week bigger then that's a good sign. So that long story being said I want to ask you all to please pray the baby will keep growing and I have two questions. Any other Jan '12 mommies? I am due Jan 6th. And I have been researching pregnancy diets and found the Brewer diet. It seems a bit daunting to me because of just how much food you need to have every day. Seems impossible for a GB patient. I tried to find a GB pregnancy diet but of course no luck.
Thanks for reading this novel and baby dust to you all waiting for your BFP!
