I've been testing out some new things on the BBQ again and this one the family loved.

dry rub your ribs with your fav spices (mine Pepper Bourbon spices) for min 1 hour.
slow cook on BBQ for 2.5-3 hours ( heat on one side of BBQ, side with meat no heat)
smoke your fav wood chips on high heat side.
my home made plum basting sauce
4-6 plums cut and peel, but in pot with splenda 1/4 -1/2 cup to taste.  (also left overs can be used as sugar free jam)
once plums are cooked blend to puree
for the last hour of BBQ ribs bast with plum sauce approx every 15 min. and lower heat to med low to med depending on BBQ.
enjoy.

if anyone likes sword fish let me know I will give you my BBQ tips for this great high protein fish

Thanks for sharing that recipe sounds delish, and if you have any more that would be great the recipe for sword fish does it have to only be that kind or will any others work as well.

cheers Rita

for the Sword Fi**** is so easy and yummy.

fresh pineapple cut up into cubes boil and add 1/4 cup of splenda.
I add fresh basil thyme and oregano from my garden.
puree 1/2 of the boiled pineapple and set a side the rest.
set BBQ on High but make sure you spray the grill with PAM or olive oil spray.
turn heat off on side for fish.
BBQ each side for approx 4-5 min and add the pureed pineapple (baste) each side.
add chunky pineapple and serve

I've also ground up almonds and put them in the puree. adds that little more protein.

enjoy

Both of those recipes sound fantastic Steph.  Thank you!  I've been looking for some sugar free BBQ sauce for ages, but these sound even better.  I still have a problem with meat, so if I can slather it up with some of that plum sauce, that'll be awesome!

Tonight I am trying a new experiment. I will let you know how things. go.
