A kick in the butt is just what I need right now!    I knew coming back to the board would help with the motivation I need to get back on track!   I've missed being here!  

There are a lot of great ideas you all have given me!   Thank you   :D

I started today and have been pretty good.....
 chicken w/seasoning
burger from B King - no bun 
ice tea  (no sugar)  - replacing the pop my fiance constantly has in the house  (That could be part of it - I rarely if ever drank pop before we moved in together! hmmm......)
peanuts and pistachios 

Looking into the yogurt and snack ideas for work   :)

 I will be 3 years out at the end of Jan this coming year.  About 6 months ago my hunger has returned with a Vengence!!   Last year got a new sit down job in front of a computer and was fine til hunger came back.   Now have regained about 15 lbs and feel like I'm starving a lot!  Yes, my carbs are way up right now.   There for a long time it didn't matter if I ate carbs or not , was still stable.  Now I think I am paying for letting my eating habits slide.  

Any ideas on how to curb the carb monster and how to knock the worst of the all the time hunger out???   I'm looking for good snack ideas as well for on the job.   

Would love to hear from some DSer's that have been out at least 2 years and know what I am talking about!   - - - but of course ideas from anyone is welcome!  :)

yeah, I was self pay in Mexico.   It's nice to have some encouragement even if you know what you are suppose to do!  Thanks!!  :)  I am starting to think about down the road so it's nice to hear your stories.

I don't really care for the ricotta fluff too much either and I hate jello.  But I do like cottage cheese!  I think I will give this a try!

 I need a kick in the butt!!

     I lost 140lbs in about 10 mo's or so.  But the last 5 months I really haven't lost anything.  Yeah, I pretty much know why.  I've let all kinds of carbs and sugar creep back in when my appetite suddenly returned with a vengence.  

     Now I've got to get back to basics!! I have about 40-50 lbs left to lose and I'm 15 months out.  I haven't gained any weight, even with the crappy eating I've been doing for months.  But I have a feeling that may change if I don't!  What I have noticed lately is that my body is ... shifting.   The scale says I haven't gained anything but my pants are tighter around my mid-section and my tummy looks bigger to me.  Weird.   Would like to hear comments on this!

     Just out of curiosity - a PS makes you wait 6 months of maintaining your weight before they will do a LBL or remove a panni, right?  So I've stayed the same for almost 5 months now... how bad would it be if I wanted to remove my panni then lose the rest of the weight?  Probably not a good idea is it??  well, just throwing that out there....

     I'm jealous of all you who have gone down, down, down in clothing sizes!!  You would think having lost 140lbs that I would have gone down more than a small handful of sizes.  But alas, no.  I'm still in 1 and 2X clothing!  And I'm at 199lbs.  I think if my panni comes off I will probably go down 2-4 sizes just from that.  That's the only reason I was even considering going ahead and doing it now.   But I guess I can wait - it will give me incentive to keep losing right??

Sorry about the rant everyone, but I really needed to unload and you are the only people *****ally understand!!  I love you guys!

 Hi all!  It's been 15 mo's since surgery and I've lost 140lbs.  Started out at 340 am now 199.  I've been 199 now for about 4 months.  Probably because after a year my tummy got where it could take quite a bit more food.  I can eat pretty much a "normal" portion now, although still a bit smaller than most peoples "normal".   I also find myself eating ALL the time!!  Lately it's been anything and everything I want without regard to carbs or gas issues (of which can be abnormally huge amounts and inhumanly stinky!! - if I don'****ch the carbs and sugar.)  

I've been enjoying feeling "skinny" and people telling me how skinny I am.  Also had something to do with why I've become complacent before hitting goal.  I still have about 40lbs to go - then a LBL!  I'm already starting to investigate money and doctors for that.  

I lost 140lbs but not mu*****lothing sizes.  I was a 26/28 before surgery.  Now I am a 20/22 bottom and an 18/20 top.  I think it is because of my huge panni.  I will probably lose several sizes when it comes off in PS later.   (Please, please, please......!!)

The first few months were really tough but the entire thing has been WONDERFUL!!!   Best choice I EVER made.  Protein and water were the hardest things at first.  Now it's keeping up on my vitamin supply - ordering soon enough and not running out.  

I also have a boyfriend now!! We've been seeing each other almost 6 months and it seems to be heading in all the right directions.  My friends and son say I've changed a lot.  My personality, energy and "go gett'em" attitude.  LOL, I thnk I am actually more like myself, like I was before I got MO!!.  They just didn't know me then.  I love all the energy I have now and I can WALK!!  yay!  I can stand, move, work etc.   I don't have to sit down all the time - I can even breath!  It's awesome.

I am getting myself back on the DS band wagon - determined to lose this last 40lbs.  So I'm back to my faithful DS family and soooo glad to see so many that I remember!

I think I've hit the 3 month stall.   It's no wonder, my hunger seems to have returned the last few days!  But still keeping to mostly protein...

*  3 gigantic wings from Chinese takeout
*  small handful of chips (less than an oz, I think)
*  mini reeses cup
*  totally huge leftover burrito fixin's piled on top of a LC tortilla, had to eat it w/a fork.

I always get a half order of chicken nachos w/extra cheese!  Hold the chips.  Sides of guacamole and sour cream.  There's chips on the table so I am able to control how many/much I each of those.  This usually lasts several meals and I always lose weight!

poor baby!!!!!!  I want to help him!

When my ex died I took his animals to find homes for them.  He had a cat that weighed almost 25 lbs!!  It was heavier than my thanksgiving turkey and felt like I was carrying one!   When he got here though, he was so scared he hid under the bed for like a month and lost at least 5 lbs or more.   You could tell he felt better.  By the time I he left he was down to probably 18 lbs, give or take.  Still a big cat.

IMO Dr. Ungson is definately the best WL surgeon in Mexico.   Open is $12,000 and I believe lap is $14,000, you'd have to double check on lap.   By far the best choice!
