POLL: How Many helped by DianaCox & Larra, etc?

With all the "WARS" going on, and people bashing, I just felt it would be appropriate to run an informal poll as to who all has either been helped (in any fashion) by DianaCox & Larra or any of the DS Renegades, and who, because of their "inflamatory posts" chose the DS and feel it saved them from a lifetime of misery and possible revision?  Seriously, these gals have worked their tails off to help as many as they can, and they all deserve some recognition and respect..  Can't wait to see this thread fly!

 I have read many of their posts in the last few weeks and have learned so much! I love that there are people here who will tell it like it is... the good, the bad, the hard and the awesome! I have read lots of other forums while i was researching surgeries and saw all to often people getting mad at others for posting any problems or questions that might make their surgery look like a poor choice. The DS Renegades have always kept it real and i hope i can continue to learn from them.

JULY 21 - the day my life changes for the better :)

I think that Diana Cox is a straight shooter that sugar coats nothing (and she shouldn't). I think people that made the wrong WLS decision take her the wrong way and get "self offended". She pretty much always post to help newbies discover an option that most do not know about. Also most of the few that know about it are given very bad/wrong/stupid information. Most of the people that reply to her "pay it forward" type posts were never addressed in the first place. They just took offense to her post because they usually need to reassure themselves they did the right thing. Diana is truly a priceless part of the DS family. I've been very much helped by her wealth of knowledge. I really do appreciate her.

I found the DS myself, but LeaAnn was the one that assured me that I did in fact find the best WLS. Not the best WLS for me, but the absolute best WLS out there (Yeah I said it! Sowhat?!). Thanks to her renegade ass I got my DS or nothing attitude. I will probably start something here with this little response, but It is my opinion and I'm entitled to it. If someone replies to this in a "you're stupid" sort of way I can assure I will not bicker back and forth about it. I'm just stating what I believe the statistics and the science proves. All I know is everytime I read a "surgery war" post with all the bad/ignorant info within I can only do this....................

Or someone looking for a revision to fix a failed Ruin-Why? Or lap band or whatever WLS it was that they put their faith, heart, soul and cash into just to be let down because they "never heard of the DS". These renegades are priceless to every obese person that cames here to OH looking for information. Even those that learn of it and choose another path should be thankful to them because at least they were educated and not blindsided by it later. Just my humble honest opinion.

For the last two years, Diana and Larra have helped me tremendously!  Honestly, I wouldn't be where I am today without their help.  In my book, they're angels, and they have my complete respect.

It was LeaAnn who put me in touch with Diana and Larra, but I don't remember if it was the result of a surgery war.  Surgery wars are kind of fun, though.  I don't participate because I'm a chicken, but they're fun to read nonetheless!  One can learn a lot from a good surgery war!
