The unfortunate thing is that the person writing this letter is the very person being sued by the 8 plaintiffs...for mismanagement of AKA funds, diverting AKA funds for her personal use...and other infractions.  I stopped discussing the situation because I have many good friends who are members and who were mentored by Ms. McKenzie.

The bottom line is...we all should allow the sorority to rectify this situation - it should not be thrown into the media for them to tear the organization apart...but, you have to realize...this situation is very difficult for you all, I am sure...hopefully, justice will be served.

Thank you for sharing this vital message.  As a proud life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, I understand how tarnishing and damaging such allegations can be towards an organization.  Though, I am not a member of AKA, I do support  you and your sorority's efforts to clear the good name of your organization, because this reflects upon all of us as members of greek letter organizations.  AKA has stood for integrity, intelligence and superior community service for more than a century.  We cannot afford risking the reputations of our beloved black sororities and fraternities by unfounded and unsupported allegations from a few.
