It has been a very long long long time since I have been on this board. (APOLOGIES!) I have missed talking to all of you. Anywho! Here I am again. I have an issue that I need to get off my chest.  I AM GAINING WEIGHT!!!!!! I dont know what to do. I was down 88lbs. and now I am back up 20lbs. my weight keeps going back and forth. I lose 4 or five and then gain 5 or 6. Can someone please suggest some ways to get me back on the losing side. PLEASE SOMEONE SHOW SOME SUPPORT! I need it. I am still barely holding on to my size 10, but I want to comfortably fit an 8. I know that may seem vain, am I am not trying to but when I had my surgery and lost the initial 88 lbs. that is the size I was at.  Again, and suggestions are welcome.

I think you already know what you gotta do. I am not sure how to get you motivated but u gotta do what u did way back in Sept 05. Maybe you can try weigh****chers or up your exercise. Getting motivated is so difficult. I hope that u dig down deep and find it. Maybe you can go to lane bryant and try on some of their clothes. It might be motivating.

Okay not sure If I ever met you Basically whatever you have been doing to GAIN the weight do the opposite. So so many of us get so use to the weight falling off without trying (especially RNY) the first 18 months at lease. However, it is a life long battle meaning YOU HAVE TO EAT RIGHT and exercise. Not either or, that simple.  This is one of the many of reasons I still weigh at least every other day after being 5 years post-op. Yes I have gain some weight in the past thankfully I have not gain anymore because of the life style choices I have made by continuing to exercise on a daily basis, and as hard as it is eating right.

I agree with the other posts but you can also ride that protein train.  See Cookie's profile for the rules.  That will jump start you and get you back on track.

Thank both of you! I dont eat much, but I have not had a protein drink in about 6 or 7 months.  maybe I need to go on the protein train for  a while and see if that helps. Does anyone have a high protein diet that I can follow?

I had to change the way I was doing things. I would normally drink protein shakes until lunch (not much of a breakfast eater). Now, I try to have breakfast not later than two hours after awakening. Research this. *****Cookie, I hope you don't mind.
