FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
InFlorida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheist had no such recognized days.
The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."
The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."
The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists"
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned."
You have to love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Matt.24[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mark.13[8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Luke.21[11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
God does not hate Japan!!
These earthquakes are just the sign of the times and people need to wake up and realize that they need Jesus and they need God before it is toooooo late.

You Terri are just a sick person and I really wish you would quit telling people you are a Christian and show them that you ARE.
Your actions and behavior show them that you are not a Christian!!

Ms Batts - Hope this helps you with your past experience from school. Know that God did not turn his back on you. You allowed people of this world to allow you to turn your back on God. That is why I think you had a "feeling" of God but never really ever knew him.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
— Romans 1:16–17
Why is it that someone could be radically converted (or seemingly so) and passionate about their new faith and then, without warning, just give up? They seemed to have had the most amazing conversion ever, but all of a sudden, they just bailed and walked away. How could that happen?
I would suggest that person never was converted to begin with. It is not about the emotion of a moment; it is about the test of time. If a person is a real Christian, he or she will continue on—though not flawlessly and not perfectly. It is even possible for a person who is a Christian to go astray for a time.
But if someone is a real believer, he or she always will come back. If they walk away and never return, they never were believers. As 1 John 2:19 says, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us."
It may be that they built their faith on an emotional experience, and there can be emotion in conversion, though not always. But you can't build your life on emotion, because emotions come and go. A person who expects every day of the Christian life to be an emotional rush will be disappointed when they wake up some morning and feel nothing. That is when it is time to start growing up and walking by faith, not by feelings.
Romans 1:17 says, "The just shall live by faith." Yet some build their entire relationship with God on emotional experience, and when the emotions are not there, they give up. They built their life on the wrong foundation.
Have Pastor Greg's devotions blessed you?

When have been over this a thousand times........you know how to love someone to HELL.
By coming in this site "claiming" to be a Christian but never ONCE preaching or teaching the gospel, sin, hell, repentance, Jesus, the cross or for the matter anything in the Bible.
You claim to be a Christian yet you tell these people that denying Jesus is ok because God is good and they will get to enter Heaven because they are good nice caring people.
WRONG!! Lots of good people are in Hell today because people like you failed to teach the TRUTH!!
God did not make someone GAY they decided to be gay!!

— Luke 6:45
It has been said that in an average day, from morning to night, we speak enough words to fill a book of about 50 or 60 pages. In an average year, our words could fill 100 books consisting of 200 pages.
But I don't think it is necessarily a good thing to say so much, because the Bible says we will be held accountable for everything we say. Jesus said, "And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak" (Matthew 12:36).
Our words determine where our hearts are. Jesus also said, "What you say flows from what is in your heart" (Luke 6:45). If your heart is hard, then it will show by what you say. If you are bitter, then you will find yourself talking about it, because bitter people love to spread it around.
Watch out for the Esau syndrome. Hebrews 12:15–16 warns, "…Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal." Esau traded away God's lifelong gift to satisfy a short-term appetite. The weeds of bitter discontent can ruin a whole garden in no time.
If your heart is filled with bitterness, then it will come out in your words. And if your heart is filled with lust, that will come out in your words as well. For some people, everything is a sexual innuendo or a double entendre. Everything they say seems to have a sexual connotation.
But if you have a heart that is filled with grace and love and wisdom from God's Word, that, too, will come out. And that should be the goal of every believer.

The Esau Syndrome

seriously?? do u have a life?? i think u r a sad sad person who comes to this site because u have no real friends and u come here looking for people to lift ur spirits and make u feel alive.
Well guess what Jesus can do that for you. Find a good Bible believing Church and get some real friends that will help you see that you are on the WIDE path that leads to destruction and u need to find the narrow way that leads to salvation.
I CHOOSE not to disclose who I get these wonderful daily devotionals from because I do not want you and your kind to bash these wonderful wonderful men of God who preach the TRUTH. U people can say what u will about me not a big deal. But I CHOOSE not to allow u people to say hateful things about these men of God.
So call it stealing if you want that is ur choice. I call it protecting them from the likes of you people.I share their words and thoughts in the hopes that someone coming to this site will get a blessing out of them and maybe even turn from their sinful ways.
So Litha do urself a favor and spend some time with God and figure out who u r and why u r the way u r.

yep i was right the 1st time.... you are an idiot. I am right you are WRONG.

Going to Church does not make me better than anyone. Being born again also does not make we better than anyone. We have all fallen short of the glory of GOD. For by GRACE am I SAVED. not of MY WORK. I am very humble person and thank Jesus everyday for saving my soul. I give him all the honor and glory.
What I am that U apparently R not is SAVED!!
When U R really to learn what the means and how u can go about becoming SAVED yourself...look me up......
Over and out. I am done going back and forth with you the same as I am with FIN. I get no where with you guys, How sad is that for you.
I do wish you the best and certainly hope that u will one day get it right and find out what the REAL TRUTH is b4 it is 2 late.

I am so sorry that you can not comprehend ur examples. Let me try to help you. The Bible is written on a 6th/7th grade reading level and I guess that's just to hard for you huh?? The Bible is and ALWAYS will be the infallible word of GOD!! and also the TRUTH!! Again, I really do feel sorry for you. ur picture makes you look so intelligent but like the old saying goes......never judge a book by its cover!!
For example...Luke reporting that Jesus told his disciples the apocalypse would happen during their lifetimes. Oopsie! That's a big **** up, huh?? nope another misinterpretation on your part. it was a prophesy the Bible clearly says you will not know the day nor hour the Lord will come.
Which part of Genesis is correct - the one that says Noah took TWO pair of animals on the ark, or seven? HOW CAN BOTH BE TRUE??? Oh, and also - what's up with the bit about how eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge will kill you, yet Adam and Eve LIVE? Noah DID take 2 of every animal on the ark and he also took an additional 7 to offer as a burnt offering to God. Adam and Eve did die. They died a spiritual death. oopsie.......guess you missed that one huh?
You know the earth is older than 6,000 years, right? And Jesus didn't have a pet dinosaur, despite what you and Sarah Palin seem to believe. - nope the earth is just around 6000 years old. dinosaurs were around in old testament. try reading Job. oh never mind I forgot you have no comprehension skills
Try again Cupcake....ur still WRONG!!!!

— Galatians 6:7
The Bible tells us that one of the signs of the last days is that people will go out of their way to blaspheme God. That will be a distinguishing characteristic of the Antichrist, whom the Scripture says will blaspheme God. Even as God's judgment is falling on nonbelievers during the Tribulation, Revelation 16:9 says, "And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory."
Blasphemy represents the conscious denouncing and rejection of God. It is a defiant irreverence, the sin of intentionally and openly speaking evil against God. To commit this sin does not merely represent unbelief, but determined unbelief.
A primary example is King Belshazzar of Babylon. One day, he held a big feast and invited his nobles, wives, and concubines. Then he brought in the objects that had been seized from the temple in Jerusalem and were used in the worship of God. Belshazzar served wine in them, toasting to the false gods they worshiped in Babylon. Belshazzar was mocking God. But the Bible says, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7).
Sure enough, as Belshazzar was partying away, he saw a hand writing across the wall, "MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN," which was interpreted by the prophet Daniel to say, "God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; . . . You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; . . . Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians" (Daniel 5:25–28).
Belshazzar was weighed on God's divine scale, and he was a lightweight. Belshazzar had no substance, and that night he lost his life. He found out the hard way that God is not mocked

God Is Always Victorious; I Will Not Fail
"No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD." - 2 Isaiah 54:17 I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about trials. At the end of day, if you pinpoint what's difficult about the trial, it's the not knowing. The biggest reason why I fear and doubt; despair and falter—is that I don't know how it's all going to end. That's why I'm so thankful for this great promise: God is always victorious; I will not fail. It turns out that I do know how this all ends—God wins. In Him, so do I! That's the promise in Isaiah 54:17. This is one of my absolute favorite verses in the whole Bible. Read it again. God made this awesome assertion to the postexilic Israelites as they came back to the land that He had promised them. Judgment was over and now blessing was coming. God gave them this promise and extended it by His grace to all of His children. This promise literally means that nothing "formed against you shall prosper." Nothing built, sharpened, aimed, or fired against you, your family, your church family, God's kingdom, or God's people will succeed. They may seem to win for a while—a job may be lost; a child may wander and be lost; and a life may even be lost—but in the end even these tragedies will assist God's prospering of those who are truly His. Today is your chance to honor God. This is your opportunity to prove the superiority of the life lived in Jesus Christ. Now is the time not to be held back! Just like you, I have uncertainties. I have health concerns. I have burdens in my family and in my marriage and in my career. I'm going through the same struggles that the people who don't know Christ are going through. The difference is, I have the Lord. I have the Spirit of God alive inside me. I have the grace to love when I'm hated. I have the strength to give when I'm taken advantage of. I have a supernatural capacity as one of God's sons or daughters to live in Christ. Topic: RE: Daily Atheist Devotional #195 (Atheist Terrorist Edition)
— John 3:19
The Pharisees did not doubt Jesus because they merely disagreed with Him. They doubted Jesus because they were hardened against him.
Doubt is a matter of the mind. Even Christians have moments of doubt. We don't always understand what God is doing or why He is doing it. Unbelief, in contrast, is a matter of the will. It is a choice we make.
The Pharisees were full of unbelief. They did not reject Jesus for lack of evidence or because He was not consistent with what He said. The fact is that Jesus was the perfect example. Even Pontius Pilate, who had examined countless people, said, "I find no fault in this Man" (Luke 23:4), and "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person" (Matthew 27:24). Judas Iscariot, who spent three, concentrated years with Jesus and even betrayed Him said, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood" (Matthew 27:4). So Jesus clearly was a model of everything that He said.
The Pharisees rejected Jesus because it interfered with the way they wanted to live. And that is why people reject Him today. Jesus said, "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed" (John 3:19–20).
People don't reject Jesus because they have carefully examined the evidence and have determined that it is not convincing enough. They don't reject Him because they have read through the Scriptures and have found some apparent contradiction. They don't reject Him because of the so-called hypocrisy of some in the church. They reject Him because He interferes with the way they want to live.
Loving the Dark
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.— John 3:19
