OH Support Group Leader, Dan Benintendi is encouraging kids in The 100 Mile Club® to be fit! He also runs an OH Support Group, Post_Op_PRs, dedicated to exercise and fitness. Check out Dan’s recent visit to Rosa Parks Elementary, where they have pledged their activity of getting in 100 miles by the end of the school year. In October, Dan is participating in a 100-mile run from Corona, CA, to the Santa Monica Pier. From Dan’s OH message board post, “The cause is a tremendous one!!! I am involved with the 100 Mile Club, a program that challenges kids to walk or run 100 miles during the school year. There are 40,000 + kids involved, but the vision of this program is to spread to EVERY school in the United States. WE HAVE AN EPIDEMIC as a society, it's called 'Obesity', which is very near and dear to many if not all of us, and if we can target at-risk children in their youth, we may be able to save them from many of the heartaches and struggles we had to deal with as a result of our weight. Do you want to take action and get involved with The 100 Mile Club®?
