Stevia is a South American herb that is 30 times sweeter than sugar. With hundreds of studies showing Stevia is a safe alternative, it’s the next big thing.
No wonder. It's all-natural, contains zero calories, and has a zero glycemic index. Finally, you can supplement your food and drinks without the chemicals of artificial sweeteners and calories of sugar! And it is safe for diabetics and hypoglycemics. SteviaPlusTM has zero calories, carbs, zero glycemic index, zero chemicals. Available in convenient packets or powder form. SteviaClearTM liquid is great for beverages & cooking. SteviaTabsTM stevia extract tablets dissolve in hot or cold liquids.
Pure erythritol is 60% as sweet as sugar, it has a slight cooling effect when you taste it and it gives me tummy issues. It has 0.02 calories per tsp.
I have never tried zsweet, but from my understanding its a blend of stevia extract and erythritol. Stevia has an odd, grassy and mildly licorice flavor to me. Its good in certain things like yerba mate tea where the flavor blends in with the tea really well, in other things it can be pretty awful and its a trial and error process to find out how much you like it and how much to use. Some people love it, others can't stand it. Mixed in with the erythritol I suspect you may get more tummy issues than if you used the stevia on its own (which can be purchased in liquid or powdered form).
Personally, I use liquid sucralose, it just works best for me and I dont seem to have issues with it.
