Longview Regional Medical Center does not accept Medicaid i talked to the Insurance Lady

reason why is in order for Medicaid to pay for the surgery the hospital and center has to be a center of excellence and there are criteria you must meet

1. You must see your pcp for a total of one year
2. must have a sleep study done
3. Must have a psych evaluation
4. must have a bmi of at least 40
5. must see a nutritionist

Must have all this documented you musy also have a letter from your doctor of medical important

East Texas Medical Center in Tyler doesnt accept Medicaid neither does Mother Francis

there is no place in east texas that takes medicaid

there are soem in HOuston that accepts medicaid, soem in Austin , San antonio and whicita falls if anyone need any information about the approval process with medicaid contact me

I have been approved by medicaid and im having RNY done soon with Southwest Bariatrics in Austin Texas if anyone needs any ifo let em know

I have kept my mouth shut reading this thread (with laughter raging inside my head) lol... How long will he rant? any guesses? I say let him go where he wants and do the damn thing already. Then he will find out he has to have his little list above completed before they will make him an appointment. No matter which hospital he uses.
