I FOUND THE MISSING PHOTO!

Ever since our PC had to have an intervention last year, some photos & files have gone hiding. Apparently, the doc saved all the files, just put them where he thought they'd be easy to find...
I'm trying to assemble a complete, chronological time line of my Christmas portraits, starting with 2002 (7 weeks before my RNY) thru 2009.

I could not find my VERY FIRST post-op Christmas!
Until now! I found 2, in fact! They're part of my OH profile.
Oh happy day! Look for "Christmas Eve 2003."

Lovingly sent in this new year!

Dear Connie,
Thank you for your loving words! I went to your OH Profile and read your story and my heart goes out to you: for who you are, who you serve and what you have endured. Blessings on you!
You are 7 months into your RNY and I would invite you to post at least one "Before" photo and several "After"'s.
What triggers self-sabotage is anxiety and one of the measurements of anxiety around weight issues is how one reacts to:
* The idea of being photographed ;
* Being photographed  ;
* Looking at one's photograph ; and,
* Allowing others to look at one's photograph .

Until one is able to pass through all 4 stages of accepting one's body image without experiencing anxiety, there is enough psychological energy running through one's personality to trigger a self-sabotage response.

I invite you to use your OH Profile & blog to "see" yourself,
receive support, information & encouragement; and, hold yourself accountable.

The first 9 months post-op RNY are a gift: everyone loses weight unless they aggressively sabotage the surgery. This is the time to discover your approach to the necessary behavior modifications we all need to make if we are to become longterm success stories.

How are you doing these days, Connie?
Rootin' for ya!

Hi Lauralyn!
Thank you for your support and kind words!  I just don't know how to post before and after photos...I lucked out on the avatar photo. I had a friend on the phone and together we figured it out....took about an hour.  I have no fear of photos now, I just didn't like myself in pictures before. As matter of fact, a friend said the other day, "you sure have a lot of pictures of you this Christmas"...lol....I said, 'yeah, I like how I look this year, I'm kinda cute"...lol....that hushed her up. I will definately reread your advice, it is very sound!  Keep helping us, we need it!    Connie
