Certain foods can make some people stinky, so being aware of trigger foods is helpful.
It's also possible to get unbalanced in the gut, and need to take antibiotics to kill off whatever is flourishing, and reestablish good "bugs" by taking something like probiotics.

I also thought that this surgery had turned my guts sour! I would pass gas and it would linger for what seemed like hours but was def a few minutes! I couldnt figure out what it was and discovered that it is milk. I have heard from other RNY that milk gives them very very potent gas. I no longer drink milk due to my "lactose intolerance" or rather that people cannot tolerate my gas when I drink milk!
I can eat cheese, eat 1 small container of yogert and no smell.
A BM stinks no matter what you eat. at least there is less volume
ps I fart all the time but they are odorless and silent. I like to mention it when people ask me: do you get bad gas? I say: Im farting right now...... when you tell people that you had surgery they will ask the weirdest things and that is one of my favorite replys!

3 weeks post-op and i already fart a lot less than i did going into it. whether they smell any better or worse... well it would be hard to get any worse.
