I've always heard Vitamin E oil....I've been pretty fortunate as I had Open RNY and a tummy tuck and both scars are pretty faded to the point that I will wear a 2 piece bathing.

Hey we had surgery on the same date! I don't quite know the name of it but I see the commercial all of the time. I think its called Bio- oil the box is orange and white. I don't know if it works or not but it claims to be for scars, stretch marks, etc. I saw it at a couple of different places like drug stores CVS,Walgreens, I even saw it at drugstore.com. I hope this helps.

This i know from experince because i had a mini tummy tuck years ago, also old-fashioned lipo where a cannula is inserted under the skin and leaves a hole on my back , waist and both knees.  There are no visible scars left at all because i used compounds cointaing Allicin ( an onion extract) which soften and smooththe edges of the scars .  Pretty much all the scar stuff contains this compound but not all of it does, so make sure before you pay your money .

You can use it while the scar is healing ( it itches alittle)  and it will really help and reduce redness too.  I could wear a micro- mini bikini at the scar line three weeks after surgery  ( back when I was skinny) and the allicin helped smooth the transition between the scar tissue and the regular skin as well- my friend had the same surgery done and she still has a noticeable ridge where the stitches were .

I found the best and realtively cheapest stuff in GNC believe it or not.  A

Is it a cream?  What is the product called that you can get at GNC?
Thanks,

I have a lot of scars, and they have all faded due to me covering them up in the sun. Even a dermatologist said that not exposing them to sun especially when they are fresh, keeps them from staying bright red. I dont know how much your scars are in sunlight, but this applies to all kinds of scars

I have been using vitamin E on my scars, and they are fading really good. I just rub the oil on my whole stomach (hoping to fade some stretch marks too) my skin is in way better shape than it was even a week ago.
