As I approach my one year, I thought I would do some reflecting and some confessing about this journey...
For the first 8 months I was so gung-ho...the last 4...not so much. Much of it feels like self-sabotage...no, scratch that, it is 100% self-sabotage. I rediscovered slider foods with little issues with my sleeve. I slacked on my protein...I stopped tracking daily. I let myself down and I own it.
Now, for the good stuff...no matter what I've done, my sleeve is still working in spite of my bad choices. I haven't gained any weight. I still have restriction with dense protein. I have lost 123 pounds and I look and feel better than I have in years.
I would do this again and again...it has been a life-changing and great experience. It is worth it to me everyday.
I know I will get to my goal...I have this amazing tool and the knowledge of how to get there...now its just up to me to snap out of my head and get back on track.
Hi all!!! I was sleeved on March 4th and have lost 117lbs from my HW.
Couple of NSV's and an update of sorts...
1) Bought a pair of 14's from the junior department...they look so cute
2) My yearly tests came back FABULOUSLY...great numbers and feel so much better
3) I officially weigh less than I did when I married my DH
4) Bought some cute tall boots and didn't have to get the wide calf
5) Still plugging away and finding that it is truly second nature to eat well, move more, and live life to its absolute fullest!
Hope everyone is well...and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
Always been bigger than my husband...today, weighed in less than him AND fit into a pair of his jeans...love my SLEEVE!!!
Very happy with the results of my VSG...down 103lbs since my HW at consult.
I've added a new album to my profile...it's amazing what seeing the photographic evidence of all your hard work can do to pick you up after a bad day...
Best decision I've ever made...well, after marrying my DH...lol
YAY!!! I was a bit down on myself this week and decided to kick it into high gear...down 3.2 and my BMI is 39.3...from a BMI of over 52 when this journey started...Wa-freaking-hoo!!
Happy Saturday all
tears abound by what you are going through but love is a constant...you amaze me and continue to be a force of good in my world...best of wishes for a super speedy recovery...love you....Princess...
working on the pic...should have it up today...trying to psych myself up to post it...lol
feeling down today while dealing with some mobility issues with my knee and decided to go shopping...found a CUTE 2-pc tank/skirt swimsuit in a size...freaking...16~~~
So huge for me...from a 26 to a 16 in 4 months...
I LOVE this life...
YAY!!! Down from a BMI of 52.8, today I am 39.8 and no longer E.O...just regular old obese...
Happy, happy Saturday!
I'm with you on this Keith...I started my liquid diet and quit smoking cold turkey the same day. I figured since I wouldn't cheat, I wouldn't allow myself to get the munchies from quitting smoking.
It was hard, but it was worth it...
swinging a chicken, dancing a skinny dance, meditating for a .6 loss...whatever it takes, I will send it your way!!!
(Can I count swinging chickens as exercise on MFP?)
Posting this to give myself a record of recommitment...
On June 25th, my father in law passed away after a long illness...and my plan went off the rails. Between not eating or hydrating, I drank every night...with drinking, came eating off-plan items. I haven't exercised in over a week and I can feel it.
I am getting back to my plan...I'm down 84lbs @ 4 months out and i've worked to hard to get derailed now.
Dr. Hoehn was my surgeon and he was fantastic...wonderful state of the art facility, all testing done in house, fantastic staff.
Dr. Hoehn used a 34F bougie, oversewn to reduce any "stretch" of the sleeve. EWL on his website is 60-70%, however, these stats do need updating as the website information is pretty dated. Didn't inquire about complications...just didn't dawn on me.
Personally, I haven't had one complication...no vomiting, no super pain at recovery, and very minor issues with constipation.
I would definitely recommend him...
Look at you!!!
Simply stunning...so amazing!
Congrats!
Day 3 of the squat challenge...60 down...
Burn, baby burn...quad inferno!!! :)
L: subway double chicken chopped salad .33 servings
D: rest of my salad
Exercise: done
W: on track
Super inspiring...super cute...super heroic...all words and terms I would use to describe you!
Thanks for sharing your story...
