I just ate the weirdest thing

Okay, I don't remember who on this board suggested this, but I got the idea here. I mixed and egg and a scoop of protein powder in a coffee mug. Then dropped in a wedge of laughing cow cheese and microwaved for 1 minute.

It came out kind of like a sponge cake. Chocolate, because thats the protein powder I used.

It's weird. Try it!

That was my bud Brandi's recipe!  (shout-out giiiirrrl!) - she comes up with some pretty unique stuff - I used her beef broth recipe when i was on liquids.

I tried the recipe too with vanilla, but think i overcooked it!  I was wondering if the egg, unflavored and laughing cow would work together?

haaay... south Atlanta, in da Hou!!

Pssst - I think if you use unflavored - maybe put some spices in there - like cumin, or italian seasonings?

That would be good if you sliced it into slices and then used them as little breads!

Unique - that's a nice word for "gross sounding, and ugly - but whootiewhoo good in your mouth!"

Remind me to tell you about my Incredibly Ugly Cake I invented.   Its definitely for a splurge time :}  (banana bread with various fruits baked in and caramel rivulets - but its just all BROWN - its incredibly ugly but DELIGHTFUL in your mouth! I should market it.  :})

did you have to cut up the cheese?

I do cut up the cheese because I do not stir it once the nuking begins.

Today I had one that was egg, vanilla protein powder, smoked provolone and a ton o punkin pie spice!  YUM!   Fall muffin!

Yum!  Its one of my meals per day.   I also add a T or so of unsweetened coconut shreds to it - or whirr up nuts and put them in it.

*****y - I do cut up my cheese, because I do not stir it during the nuking session.

One of my faves is using banana nut bread protien powder, an egg and putting walnuts in there!  Yum!

It does come out kind of dense - which gave me the idea that maybe I should slice one up, and then dredge in pumpkin pie egg and make french toast!!

Mel - unsweetened and cheese would work too, but I would probably put some other sort of flavor in there, like cumin (for a chili puff) or maybe italian seasonings - that would make a nice thing - if you made a cheezy Italian muffin, sliced it into slices and then used your slices as "bread"

Mmmm.

You can also use that for making pancake-type things - you might want to add a little water, so the pancake thins out - but either way, yum.

The more you nuke it the denser it becomes, the less you nuke it - the middle stays soft, like one of those little molten lava cakes - so its good to fiddle with nuking times.

The OP said she nuked it for a minute - I start with 35 seconds and then peek and see if its mushy in the middle or not - usually 40 or 45 seconds does the trick for me.

Depending on your nuker - your mileage may vary

thanks I did it for a minute and it was very very dry...I had 2-3 bites and those bites are sitting like a rock in my gut!  They did taste great, I will have to try again with less time in the micro.
