I've been sleeved! Ended up in I.C.U. though....
So I'm officially among the sleeved! It's been quite a journey though. My surgery ended up taking between 3 and 4 hours, most of that not even being my surgeon operating. I guess they had to bring in the throat specialist at the hospital because there was a problem with them trying to put the tube in. And if that's not enough, my surgeon had a problem with the stapler. Just great. I ended up having to stay in the ICU for the night. Drain, catheter, the works.
It was so miserable in there.
The good thing is that within less than 24 hours, I really turned around. I'm not having any problem with the clear liquids. I still have my drain in though (yuck).
And unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be one of those that loses their appetite completely after being sleeved. I was starving in the hospital while all they would give me is ice chips.
Anyway, here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
