Made the protein balls.  Very good they remind me of peanut butter playdough.  Used to make them for my kids when they were little.  I figured out there is 7.375 grams of protein in each ball based on 16 balls

Yes, they are delicious!  I always have them in my fridge for a quick snack.  I'm going to head off the questions by posting the recipe here and now:

They're like no bake cookies.  Depending upon how large you make them, they're about 100 calories each and have about 7 grams of protein.  Every time I make them I add up the ingredients in fitday and divide by the number of balls I made.  Here's the recipe:

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup rolled oats (regular oatmeal, not quick or instant)
1 cup protein powder (I use Any Whey, but the original recipe suggested chocolate)
1/4 cup Splenda
50/50 mixture of unsweetened cocoa and Splenda

Put peanut butter in a bowl and microwave for 30-45 seconds until liquid-y.  Add rolled oats, protein powder and Splenda (I put about 1/3 of each in, stir, repeat).  If it gets too dry, sprinkle water.  Once you've got your mixture together, roll in to balls and put on a plate.  Put the 50/50 mix in a sifter and dust over the top.  The original recipe I got said to roll them individually, but this took a lot of time and made a mess so I changed my method.  Put them in to an airtight container and refrigerate.

I love these things.  They're a treat and also add protein to my day.

You ought to just put a copy of this recipe in your profile, or maybe in your signature line, Leslie. You are getting a rep, you know, as the "protein ball lady" (I'm starting it right now....(wink)). MC

Not exactly how I pictured myself achieving fame, but I guess it's as good as any!  =D

I'll post it on my profile; good thinkin'.

Leslie, These sound fabulous, but just one quesiton.  How much of the cocoa and splenda do you mix up for the 50/50 mixture?   Thanks, Jules

Sorry so long for the reply...had friends in town for the weekend and didn't get on the forum once (a first for me).  I take the 1/4 cup measuring cup I used to measure the Splenda and fill it about 1/3 with cocoa and 1/3 with Splenda and stir it up.  So it's about 2/3rds of a 1/4 cup...if you can do that math you're a better woman than me!  =D

Thanks for the recipe. Sounds really yummy. So yummy that I may need to hide them from the kids! I am a huge fan of peanut butter.
