NINA-and JENNIFER-I had such a great time. I re-read the material, on the way home (Lisa was driving !!). I read it outloud, and Lisa really listened to it. I think she was embarassed to read it front of the group, being overweight and a non-op (and eating 3/4 of my breakfast, after already eating all of her own..lol).
I even plan to do my "homework"-my FOCUS stuff-and will be reporting back to you!!
Thank y'all for allowing to crash your group again-so sorry liquidman could not be there today.
When is Jennifer going to post her "belt picture" ????

We Can Do Hard Things
No need for Lisa to be embarassed at all, we are all a family of our own!!!
I couldn't have read and rode, I would have been so car sick!!!

Hey Nina and Gina!
Sorry it has taken me so long to post the picture from the meeting, but better late than never. Life is so good right now it is hard to spend time on the computer. After the meeting on Saturday my DH and I went to Home Depot and got yellow onions, garlic, habaneros seeds, bell pepper plants, jalapeno plants, and tabasco pepper plants. We like things hot! Also got a sheppards hook to hang my potted plants from. We also went to the mall and I got a new pair of shoes for spring. Sunday we spent most of the day outside planting our little garden, mowing, and enjoying the beautiful day. I'll have to take a picture of the hill in front of our house it is covered in bluebonnets. The manager of the community is very strict about mowing so I hand pulled as much grass and clover from around them as possible so she doesn't get upset.
At our OHRRR meeting Saturday we talked about self perception. The picture of me below is of me with my belt. I bought this belt probably 2 weeks after surgery and when I bought it I couldn't buckle it. I wore this belt even after I lost 100 lbs. I worked at home depot at the time and would go to the hardware department and use the leather punch off the shelf to add holes. If you look close you can see the light shining through the holes. It now wraps around me one and a half times, from size 24 then to a size 6 now. It takes a lot of work mentally and emotionally to not perceive myself this way anymore and I can't say I don't have my bad days when I just can't get the fat girl out of my head. It is times like in the picture that remind me of how far I have come and that I have a lot to be thankful for, my happiness and health being the most important!
I mentioned my new shoes in the beginning and if I am posting pictures I have to post them too!
JENNIFER-even though I saw this in person-it blows my mind even more NOW!!!
Hope you don't mind, but everyone who comes thru the door, here at work, is being shown your pic today-and they are VERY impressed!!!!!
You need to add that pic to your siggy line collage..just a suggestion !!!
keep on RAWK-ING it, girl!!!!
