The dreaded 3rd week stall

Yup.. it hit me.. But ya know what???  I'm not gonna whine and cry about it.. because thanks to you all - I know this is normal.  I know this will break eventually and I am not going to worry about it..

I was able to do my 1.5 mile walk yesterday with no discomfort and my legs felt strong and I could take deep breaths and felt GREAT afterwards.

I laughed when I got on the scale and thought - "You can fight this all you want body of mine, but I'm gonna fight harder - I've got a new tool.. and patience - so there!"

So I guess you could say this is a gratitude post - to all the "old timers" that reassuringly answered all of those repetetive posts in the past 6 months from people freakin out that they "stopped losing" after 3 weeks.  I was paying attention!

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

Thanks for posting how you are feeling. I am at the 3 week stall as well, and I just patted myself on the back for staying strong this past holiday weekend and eating my protein at every meal and sticking to it with the liquids. I did have 2 1/2 potato chips with my 98% fat free turkey sausage on the grill though (and I felt sooo bad for doing it!!) .  I'm glad I'm not alone!

Yeah!  3 weeks under your belt!  You should be so proud.  Remember, one day at a time and before you know it, poof!  It'll be gone!  I have ran into stalls in the course of 11 months, with my last one just breaking.  I am down 186 lbs and continue to lose to this day.  Work the tool and take advantage of your 1st year.  Yeah for you and fighting back!

You've got the best attitude!  You stick to it and it will work.  The simple math is: follow the guidelines, move as directed and you'll meet your goal.

Keep it up,

Dan

Dude!  Do you have a surgery date yet, or what?  If my calculations are correct based on your post from June 24- you had your consult and they've submitted to BCBS.  If they're moving at the same speed as they did with mine, you should have your approval soon if you don't already.  Any updates?

My stall was at two weeks out and it lasted three weeks... it was the looooongest three weeks ever, but I knew that it would break, just like a fever! lol

So glad that you are remembering what has been ingrained into our heads about stalls and that our surgery DOES WORK if we just follow the plan!! :)

Congrats Steph, you are doing fabulously!!  Can't wait to see you! Will you be at Eagan this weekend?

:) Nicole

Nicole - It is comforting to hear that from someone that has been so successful!

I will be there on Saturday.. I really enjoyed meeting you all a few weeks ago....

Good for you on paying attention and knowing what to expect with regards to that early out stall. You know you're not broke, keep exercising and playing by the rules and you'll see the scale move soon.  Any time I stalled, a nice chunk of 3-4 pounds would eventually come off at once. LOVE THAT!
