Just a question what kind of protein shake do you guys drink I got the powder from GNC and I can't stomach it. I am scared that I am not absorbing the protein cuz after I drink it it comes out (if you know what I mean) I am open for ideas and ones that don't cost an arm and a leg would be nice. I am open for suggestions thanks!!

Rugrat,

I use the UNJURY Protein powder unflavored......

Some recipes:

Strawberry smoothie
1 scoop UNJURY
1/2 c. skim milk
6oz. yoplait strawberry yogurt light
1/2 c. frozen strawberries

Raspberry smoothie
Same as above, just use frozen raspberries & raspberry yogurt light

Pineapple smoothie
1 scoop UNJURY
1/2 c. skim milk
6oz. pineapple upside down cake yoplait yogurt light
1/2 c. frozen pineapple chuncks

Bananna smoothie
1 scoop UNJURY
1/2 c. skim milk
6oz. vanilla yoplait yogurt
1 bananna  (peel, put in ziploc, freeze for 1 hour)

Hope this helps.....kelly

Rugrat,

www.unjury.com

20g. protein per scoop.......This protein powder is great for WLS patients, I don't see any reason why you'd have a problem with these recipes, except for the yogurt maybe,The yoplait yogurt light is higher in sugar than most, so you may want to check out the other brands like Dannon light & fit......

The yoplait light just has so many more choices........But I can tolerate sugar no problem.......

Good luck......Kelly
