I just spoke with Gino, Cira came out of surgery about an hour ago and is in recovery, where she'll probably be for at least another hour. Dr. Averbach (thank God for him!), found a small hernia in a pocket in her intestine. He fixed it, said everything looks good, and if she can tolerate food tomorrow, she'll go home.

Unfortunately, Gino's getting ready to leave on a business trip, but her daughter will be there to at least help with the children.

Glad to hear that everything is all right...tell her she can call me if she needs too..I live close to her...she has my number.

I will pass along the message - I KNOW she'll appreciate it. She's had a lot of tough breaks and doesn't really have anyone out that way.

Now that you've said that, I'll worry less about her this weekend while I'm away.
