Well update. I was on TPN@ home and "something" happen almost 48 hours ago. I had a trip to the ER via amulance and don't have a clue what happen up until this past 12 hours.
Apparently they are leaning toward the staph in my picc line they discovered., but I am still unsure what caused this to happen or exactly what happn. I hope it doesn't turn into Mercer.
I have plans to revise as long as my labs come back clean, at least for Mercer.
Currently I am off TPN, on IV fluids and antibiotics.
I hope to have an end to this nightmare soon on a positive note. Please pray or swing!

Oh for goodness sake Charity! I sure hope it isn't Mercer or anything that can't easily be gotten rid of with your antibiotics. I have been very concerned. Thanks for the update.

I had no idea you were having such problems. I haven't been on here much, but i really hope everything works out for you and may you be blessed for the future. And you talk about revising, what is that about?

To answer your question Karen, I am bankrupt nutrionally, and can't seem to keep up. We are just backing it up 50 cm. Apparently everyone is different and my cc just happens to be a bit small. I am so grateful to not need to revise.

I am still a little confused here, as well. Maybe you mean you are so grateful not to need a total _reversal_? Surgery to make your common channel 50 cm longer would be a revision.
In any case, I pray for speedy healing for you, and no MRSA.

Thank you and yes, I meant I am grateful to not be reversed and yes, MRSA is what I hope to not have in my PICC line wound, but staph is what I have. Please be patient with me, I am a little slow right now. I am also only using a pc when my hubby has it here, so I'll update when I can.
I am still unable with an reasonable certainty to say what happen to me. I was told my electrolytes were out of whack and that's after several days of hospital and 4 days I think of TPN, so maybe that's what made me out of my mind. I do know I have staph and am quite severely malnourished, just not as bad now.
Thanks for the prayers, my family needs them right now.
