Upcoming Indianapolis DS Events

I hope everyone is staying cozy & warm in this new year. The Indy DS group is switching things up in 2010. We will be moving our standing dinners to the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm so that more people can make it. I have a few ideas of where to meet this year but am looking for more suggestions for restaurants on the south & east side of town.

Dinner (2nd Tuesday each month)

Everyone is welcome to come to our events - those researching, pre-ops, newbies, and veterans. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that I can reserve enough seats. You can post your RSVP to this post or you can pm me. It's always a fun time!

Support Group (4th Tuesday each month)
Tuesday, January 26th, 6:30pm - 8:00pm
St. Vincent Carmel, Bariatric Center, Entrance 4

The support group meeting, lead by a St Vincent nurse or dietitian, is open to all pre- and post-op patients regardless if they had surgery at St Vincents. We often grab a bite to eat afterward.

The 12th is my brothers birthday, so I am not too sure if I'll be there or not. And yea, I don't know about attending those god awful support groups either..lol.

Well, I don't see the support group meetings as a fun time, either. I've decided I need to suck it up and go for the newbies who we wouldn't meet otherwise -- like Dori & her sister last month. That whole paying it forward thing, ya know? Believe me, I'm not looking forward to having the nurse glare at me/us again....
