Amelia Tiefenthaler Registered Nurse RN, BSN

Bariatric Coordinator Amelia Tiefenthaler graduated from the University of Jacksonville Florida with a Bachelors of Nursing in 2013.  She completed her nursing degree at Mt. San Antonio College in 2001. From 2001-2009 she was a cardiac/medical intensive care nurse and from 2009-2015 was a post-operative bariatric surgical nurse at Loma Linda University Medical Center. In 2015 she joined the LLUMC Department of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery as a Bariatric Nurse Coordinator. Amelia collaborates with the surgeons and healthcare team members preparing patients before surgery and continuing to follow them through their post-operative recovery. Her philosophy is to provide safe, individualized, quality care to both the patient and their families. She enjoys sharing the journey that each patient travels on their road to a healthier life.
