Vivian Shelton Psychologist Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Shelton is a clinical psychologist and an integrated health member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) who has great interest working with bariatric patients and persons struggling with weight management and body image issues. She uses diverse approaches to help her patients become the most fully themselves, achieve overall health and wellness, and live a life that they love. Dr. Shelton conducts psychological evaluations which are a requirement prior to weight loss surgery. She also provides individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and family therapy prior to and post surgery for psychological and adjustment related problems which may or may not be related to weight issues. These may include, but are not limited to mood disorders, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, abuse, and issues related to divorce and career problems. Dr. Shelton also has experience providing workshops in preparation for weight loss surgery, facilitating post-operative support groups and is available for consultation and trainings.
