Leslie O'Malley Psychologist Ph.D.

Dr. Leslie O'Malley holds a doctorate in psychology and is fully licensed as a clinical psychologist in the state of Louisiana.As a psychologist, she has undergone 10 years of training in psychology. She specializes in health psychology or behavioral medicine, a field in which she helps people understand how biology, behavior and social context can influence chronic illnesses, such as obesity.

Dr. O'Malley received her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University at the Center for Psychological Studies in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. While in south Florida, she trained at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston at The Bariatric and Metabolic Institute and Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery. There she received specialized training in pre-surgical psychological assessment, weight loss maintenance support, and individual psychotherapy for pre-and post surgical individuals.

Dr. O'Malley later received her clinical psychology residency & fellowship training at the New Orleans VA where she continued to specialize in behavioral medicine with particular emphasis in pre-surgical psychological assessment of elective and organ transplantation surgeries in veterans.
