We are also passionate about raising awareness and providing treatment options for Lipedema, one of the most underdiagnosed fat disorders in the United States. Often times there is a misdiagnosis as being overweight or morbidly obese, in addition, many bariatric patients come to find that after they’ve lost the initial weight that there may be parts of their body that are resisting weight loss and they may later be diagnosed as also having Lipedema. Internationally recognized as an innovator and expert in this field, Dr. Schwartz provides both non-surgical and surgical treatments for Lipedema, he performs Lymphatic Sparing  Lyposuction (LSL) and Manual Lipedema Extraction (MLE).
