Dr. Jeffrey Umansky, Plastic Surgeon Jeffrey Umansky, MD, FACS is a highly regarded Plastic Surgeon with extensive training in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, including the specialty of post-bariatric body contouring after massive weight loss. Dr. Umansky serves as the President of the San Diego Society of Plastic Surgeons (SDPSS). Dr. Umansky graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) Honor Society. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California, where he was honored to be selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society, a distinction reserved for the top medical students across the country. He went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at the UC Irvine Medical Center and in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Florida. He also completed a Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at the Boston Center for Ambulatory Surgery. Philanthropy is a very important aspect of Dr. Umansky’s medical career. He dedicates his time to performing cleft lip and palate surgeries with the Mercy Outreach Surgical Team (MOST) and is part of the team that provides free surgeries to underprivileged children at Rady Children’s Hospital. He also sits on the board of Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and was awarded the 2018 Humanitarian of the Year by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
