About Me
Tammy has been practicing medicine for eight years. Prior to joining Provost Bariatrics, she practiced in oncology/hematology for seven and a half years, where she provided care to cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy care. She is an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and Texas Association for Bariatric Surgeons (TABS). Tammy also co-facilitates Provost Bariatrics Patient Support Group.
Tammy received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in 2009. She earned her bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2006 from Touro College in Bay Shore, New York and also had previously earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology in 2003 from the University of Texas at Galveston. She taught a medical assistant class at Victoria College in Victoria, TX from 2009 to 2011.
Tammy is sincere and committed to providing excellent medical care and support to weight-loss surgery patients, and celebrates in the success of patients as they reach their weight-loss goals. Tammy has just written her first book, which will be published soon, Only in Texas. She also enjoys traveling, reading historical fiction novels, outdoor activities, community service and serving in her local church.
