At this free seminar, Harlan L. Opie, MD, bariatric surgeon at Olathe Medical Center, will discuss the qualifications for surgery, treatment options and nutritional guidelines after surgery. There will be ample time for your questions.
Harlan L. Opie, MD, is experienced in all three weight-loss surgery procedures - the gastric bypass, gastric banding and gastric sleeve. He is Board Certified in General Surgery.
Bariatric surgery at Olathe Medical Center is intended for people age 18-to-55 who are 100 pounds or more overweight (with a Body Mass Index of 35 or greater) and who have not had success with other weight loss therapies such as diet, exercise, medications, etc.
