About Me
My weight-loss journey started on 11/30/2020. On that day, I weighed 365 pounds. After years of trying to lose weight with simple diet and exercise, I decided I needed help. I talked to my doctor, and after going through the pre-surgery program, I finally took the big step that changed my life. It’s been more than 3 years now, and I’m down 140 pounds, and I look and, more importantly, I feel so much better.
As I started to learn and embrace the new lifestyle, I started to create bariatric-friendly recipes and decided to share these recipes with the rest of the community so everyone can stay on their journeys for the rest of their lives, for themselves and for their family's.
About 20 years ago, I went to culinary school in Chicago. I’ve decided to put my experience and skills to work and create an online recipe business for the bariatric community centered around healthy eating full of protein, fiber, and nutrient-dense ingredients. I offer online and in-person cooking classes centered around helping people make their kitchen a more holistic and inviting environment so they look forward to actually being in the kitchen. As we all know, just getting started is the biggest step. Families are so busy these days that it's hard to find quality and enriching time together. I believe it's so important to get the entire family involved in the cooking process, including the shopping, preparing, and eating the healthy meals. These are opportunities for everyone to learn, share, and grow as a whole family unit.
At the same time, I have started to write a book about my pre- and post-surgery life so I can encourage other men to think about the surgery possibilities so they can be healthier for them and their families. This is my new purpose in life, and I’m so excited to reach and inspire as many people as possible.
I am excited to serve my purpose of helping as many people as possible, whether they are on a WLS journey or just looking to find a healthier life.
