Richard Sethre, PsyD, LP is a health care psychologist who has helped people with excessive weight for over 25 years.  He specializes in pre-surgery assessments and has done over 2,500 of them.  He current does about 100 per year. Dr. Sethre believes in doing the minimum number of assessment hours necessary in order to get to know you and get your cleared for surgery.  Dr. Sethre is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He has presented to professional organizations about psychological aspects of excessive weight and bariartic surgery.
